The Power of Music During Transition & Change

I am often asked to bring my fiddle, mandolin, guitar and banjo to VA hospitals, nursing homes, churches, hospices, retirement villages,  long-term care facilities and play music for the folks in these places all over our wonderful country. I share a program of music and discussion with people entitled, "The Power of Music During Transition and Change™".

It is my desire to share this music and program with as many people as the Good Lord would have me do.

Obviously, travel expenses are a concern. As I want to honor ever request that I receive - which is to bring acoustic/string music to those who may benefit the most.

My goal is to pay homage and respectful appreciation to our veterans, who are the backbone of our country. They are the every day people who have made this country great by sacrificing, giving, and helping without expecting anything or very little in return.  There's a country-side full of unknown folks as well, your welders, barbers, grocery store owners, small-business owners, mothers and dads, mechanics, bakers, tailors, blue and white collar success stories everywhere.....who are a piece of the fabric that has made our country what it is. Those are the folks I desire to serve.

I have seen how my acoustic music is a strong medicine for folks who are in a tough spot medically.  It's not me specifically, I'm the vehicle. I know who is ultimately in charge; the Master Creator of all.  I've learned via providing music for folks, that the support the music provides the loved ones' family members is nearly overwhelming to me.

With that said, as the requests increase it may be a bit difficult to fly from Denver to Tallahassee for $100. I currently work with a variety of  agencies, managers and facility directors who can assist us a bit. That is, ...being able to package a small tour of stops for a few days to a couple weeks is possible.

Under the advising of some pretty smart folks, I've begun working on the roll out of a campaign. It is strictly voluntary. However, it is a way for you to help me get from place to place if that is something you believe in and would want to support.

A subset goal I have for 2013 is to record a CD of all original instrumental music designed with comfort, memories, reflections and healing in mind. And when asked to perform at these places I want to have the ability to give the facility, families and folks I present this service and social-ministry to a free/$0 copy of the CD.

If you would be so kind as to join my newsletter list, (for those of you who have an interest in helping this cause), as I'll be discussing this project and the progress of it in the coming days and weeks. Not to mention..by joining the newsletter list you get free music !

May God richly bless you and your family.
